George Combs Sr., Raleigh, N.C., passed away Sept. 16 after a long case of Alzheimer's.
After military service in the Army Air Corps during World War II, he was a dedicated letter carrier for the U.S. Postal Service in Goldsboro.
He is survived by his son, George Combs; his grandson, Joseph Combs; and his granddaughter, Sarah and husband, Carlos Burgos, all of Raleigh.
The family will have a private service.
We love you Grandpa; you will be greatly missed.
