LANCE MICHAEL CONNOR

Lance Michael Connor, 66, Goldsboro, after a courageous battle with cancer, passed peacefully Saturday, Sept. 6, 2014, into that far better life with his Lord and savior and with those beloved family who went on before.

Lance was born in Lenoir County Sept. 14, 1947, to the late Theodore Roosevelt Connor and Thelma Smith Connor.

He retired from Cherry Hospital after 30 years of service, and then worked for 13 years with John Tew Associates.

Lance was an active member of The First Pentecostal Holiness Church.

A service celebrating Lance's life will be held at 7 p.m. Monday, Sept. 8, 2014, at The First Pentecostal Holiness Church, with the Rev. Bill Rose and the Rev. Mike Lee officiating. Interment will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday, Sept. 9, 2014, at Wayne Memorial Park.

Lance is survived by his wife, Alease Chestnutt Connor; sons, Eric Connor and wife, Ginger, and Troy Connor and wife, Stella; grandchildren, Angel Connor, Leigh Ann Connor, Erin Connor and Gina Connor; sister, Kathy Lee; and stepsister, Elizabeth Santana.

In addition to his parents, Lance was preceded in death by his stepmother, Sarah Connor.

Flowers are welcome or the family suggests memorials be given in memory of Lance to The First Pentecostal Holiness Church, 1100 The First Church Road, Goldsboro, N.C., 27534, or Cures for the Colors, Southeastern Oncology Center, 203 Cox Blvd., Goldsboro, N.C., 27534.

The family will receive friends Monday following the service at the church and other times at the home.
