Rosliane Casteen Pate Kornegay, former resident of the Seven Springs area, died Tuesday night, Sept. 2, 2014, at Quinn Hospice Center in Kenansville.

Funeral services will be held Friday, Sept. 5, at 7 p.m. at Tyndall Funeral Home in Mount Olive, with the Rev. Randy Nethercutt officiating, and followed by visitation. Burial will be Saturday, Sept. 6, at 11 a.m. at Pineview Cemetery in Seven Springs.

Family also receiving at the residence of Clara and Brandon Potter, 204 N. Country Club Drive, Kenansville.

She is survived by son, Donnie Ray Pate and wife, Elsie, of Warsaw; two daughters, Clara Potter and husband, Brandon, of Kenansville and Pamela Carol Pate of Asheville; a brother, Bobby Earl Casteen of Troy; seven grandchildren, Andrea Fisher and husband, Michael, Katherine Robinson and husband, Kelvin, Frances Lee and husband, Andrew, Fred Powell and wife, Nikki, Gary Pate, Heather Woodcock and Christian Woodcock; seven great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Melvin Wright Casteen and Ada Jane Chesnut Casteen; husbands, Gilbert Franklin Pate and Marlow Kornegay Sr.; sister, Carolyn C. Meggs; and two brothers, William Melvin Casteen and Forest James Casteen.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Carolina East/Quinn Hospice Care, 748 S. Kenansville Bypass, Kenansville, N.C., 28349.
