FRED HARDISON

Fred Hardison, resident of Mount Olive, died Tuesday, Aug. 26, at Kitty Askins Hospice Center.

The family will receive friends at Tyndall Funeral Home from 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 28. Graveside services will be held Friday, Aug. 29, at 3 p.m. at Calypso Cemetery. Officiating will be pastor Chris Schneider and pastor Jeff Dail.

Flowers are welcome or memorial gifts may be made to Kitty Askins Hospice, 107 Handley Park Court, Goldsboro, N.C., 27534.

Fred, 77, was a self-employed carpenter. He had served in the North Carolina National Guard.

Surviving are two sons, Raybon "Ray" Hardison Jr. and wife, Teresa, of Princeton and Bill Hardison and wife, Wendy, of Mount Olive; three daughters, Brenda H. Schneider and husband, Wayne, Gloria H. Thompson and husband, J.R., and Evelyn H. Lane and husband, Roger, all of Mount Olive; 11 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; a great-great-grandchild; a sister-in-law, Judy Hardison of Warsaw; special friends, Doug and Joyce Hill of Mount Olive; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Margaret Everett Hardison; his parents, Benjamin Franklin and Lillie Mae Taylor Hardison; his five siblings; and a great-granddaughter, Madison Hunt.
