Prentice Barden, 49, 601 Longleaf Ave., died Tuesday in Johnston County.
Funeral will be Saturday 11 a.m. at Greater St. John Free Will Baptist Church in Dudley. Burial will be in Old Mill Cemetery.
He was born June 9, 1965, in Wayne County to Donnie and Carol Barden. He was married to Patricia McCoy Carter-Barden.
He is survived by six children.
Visitation Friday from 1 to 4 p.m. at the funeral home. A wake will be at the church, with the family present, from 6 to 8 p.m. At other times, the family will receive friends at the home, where it will assemble for the funeral procession.
