Gary Thomas Knotts, 59, Goldsboro, passed away suddenly Friday, May 23, 2014.
Gary was born in Wayne County May 13, 1955, to Peggy Strickland Ivey and the late R.H. Knotts.
Gary was a painter.
Graveside services will be held Wednesday, May 28, 2014, at 2 p.m. in Wayne Memorial Park.
The family will receive friends following the service at the cemetery, and other times at the home of Bill Knotts, 4149 Outlaw Bridge Road in Seven Springs.
Gary is survived by his daughter, Kristy Knotts of Goldsboro; brothers, Bill Knotts and wife, Kathy, of Seven Springs and Joseph Johnson and wife, Brenda, of Alabama; and two grandchildren.
He is also survived by some special aunts and uncles and a special friend, Jimmy Ham.
He was preceded in death by his longtime companion, Laura Fields.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given in his memory to Seymour Funeral Home.
