Thelma Hartsell Bost, 89, Concord, N.C., died at the Brian Center in Concord April 18, 2014.
Thelma was born May 13, 1924, in Cabarrus County, the daughter of the late Winfield Scott Hartsell and the late Ruth Goodnight Hartsell High.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Carl Ray Bost, who died in 2008.
Thelma was a loving wife, mother and grandmother, and she was a wonderful cook.
Thelma is survived by a son, Michael Ray Bost (Linda) of Kannapolis; a daughter, Lana Gail Linker of Goldsboro, N.C.; grandchildren, Trent Bost (Paula) and Brad Bost (Kelly) both of Concord and Sylvia Steven (Bobby) and Chris Boykin (Randal) both of Goldsboro; eight great-grandchildren; and sisters, Mary Hogan and Shirley Burleson both of Concord.
The funeral service for Mrs. Bost took place at 2 p.m. Monday, April 21, at St. Enoch Lutheran Church in Kannapolis, conducted by the Rev. Floyd Bost and the Rev. John Merch. Burial took place at the church cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be made to St. Enoch Lutheran Church, 701 Campbell Ave., Kannapolis, N.C., 28081.
