Funeral services for Leroy Evans at St. Mark Church of Christ Disciple of Christ, 700 W. Ash St., Goldsboro, N.C., Friday at noon, with Bishop Alton Smith officiating.

He is survived by his wife, Gertrude Barnes Evans of the home; two sons, Michael Evans of Asheville, N.C., and Jeffery Evans of Richmond, Va.; three daughters, Sonja Raynor Lindsey and Tonisa Evans both of Goldsboro, N.C., and Stephanie Reid of Cape May, N.J.; 19 grandchildren; great-grandchildren; two brothers, Charles Evans (Lois) of Fayetteville, N.C., and Tony Evans (Linda) of Goldsboro, N.C.; 10 sisters, Ella Wynn (James), Judy DeMerrit, Eva Middleton (Jerry) and Margetta Jones all of Goldsboro, N.C., Jerelene Williams of Laurel, Md., Sadie Watson (Ernest) and Chakita Perry (Rodney) both of Dudley, N.C., Gail Jones (Stan) of Forestville, Md., Benita Jones (Terry) of Durham, N.C., and Betty Middleton (Connie) of Garner, N.C.; four brothers-in-law, Edmond Hamilton of Fort Washington, Md., Frank Barnes (Betty) of District Heights, Md., and Elmer Barnes of the home; three sisters-in-law, Thelma Barnes of Houston, Texas, Carolyn Lewis of Capital Heights, Md., and Lynette Evans of Goldsboro, N.C. ; four aunts, Phenia Mae Stevens, Willie Bea Pitt of Baltimore, Md., Ziphia Hall of Fremont, N.C., and Veola Brown of Kinston, N.C.; and a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.
