Mr. Needham Core Sr., 92, 506 Weaver Drive, Goldsboro, died Monday at Willow Creek Nursing and Rehab Center.
Funeral services will be held Saturday at noon at St. Mark Church of Christ, Disciples of Christ, 700 W. Ash St., with bishop Alton Smith officiating. Burial will follow in Elmwood Cemetery, Martin Luther King Blvd.
A public viewing will be held Friday from 2 to 7 p.m. at the funeral home.
Mr. Core was the son of the late Mable Everett and James Core, and the husband of the late Rev. Dr. Kizzie Core.
He is survived by his children, Veronica Ann McClain, Stephanie Core Carter, Belinda Core Felix and Needham Core Jr., other relatives and friends.
The family will assemble one hour prior to the service at the home in preparation for the processional.
Hamilton Funeral Chapel is serving the family.
