KINSTON -- Vera Byrd Baker, 100, died Tuesday at home.
Funeral will be Thursday at 2 p.m. at Rouse Funeral Home, with the Rev. Ray Teague officiating. Interment will be at Pinelawn Memorial Park.
She was born Feb. 10, 1913, in Lenoir County to the late George Allen Byrd Sr. and Alice Fields Byrd. She was married to the late Walter Baker Sr.
Visitation will be Thursday from 1 to 2 p.m. at Rouse Funeral Home.
