Connie Lynn Lucas, 61, passed away Tuesday, Jan. 28, 2014, at Wayne Memorial Hospital surrounded by her family.
She was born in Wilson County Jan. 11, 1953, to the late Mr. and Mrs. Jessie Barfield.
Funeral services will be held at 4 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 1, 2014, in the chapel of Seymour Funeral Home. Interment will be at 2 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 2, 2014, in Black Creek Cemetery.
Connie is survived by her husband, Donnie Lucas; sons, Steve Lucas and girlfriend, Kristie Davis, of Princeton, Jamie Lucas and wife, Amanda, of Pikeville, Scott Lucas of Goldsboro and Corey Lucas and girlfriend, Kathryn Smith, of Goldsboro; grandchildren, Sawyer McKenci Grant, Ashley Ann Lucas and Addison "Addie" Jane Lucas; and her sister, Patsy Braswell and husband, Edwin, of Wilson.
In addition to her parents, Connie was preceded in death by a brother, Ray Barfield, and daughter-in-law, Heather Lancaster.
The family will receive friends Saturday following the service at Seymour Funeral Home and other times at her home.
