ELNORA MATTHEWS VINSON

Elnora Matthews Vinson, the daughter of the late Ardelia and Willie Greenfield Matthews, was born Nov. 30, 1922.
She departed this life Jan. 4, 2014, at Willow Creek nursing and Rehabilitation Center.
Elnora was educated in the Wayne County Public Schools.
She retired from Cherry Hospital after more than 30 years of employment.
Elnora was married to the late Alton Vinson, and was blessed with a son.
She was a member of Millers Chapel AME Zion Church.
Loving memories are in the hearts of her son, Alton Kim Vinson; sister, Edna Battle; brother, Willard Matthews; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
A viewing will be held today from 4 to 7 p.m. at the funeral home. The family will be present to receive friends from 6 to 7 p.m.
A celebration of life will be held Saturday at 11 a.m. at Millers Chapel AME Zion Church. Interment will follow in Baldwin Cemetery.
Community Funeral Home of Goldsboro is serving the family.
