RICHARD H. FAIL

Richard Hardy "R.H." Fail, 80, passed away Sunday evening at Rex Hospital in Raleigh.
Born in Wayne County, he was the son of the late Linly and Hazel Jinnette Fail.
He was also preceded in death by two sons, R. H. Fail Jr. and David Lawrence Fail; two grandchildren, Renee Stancill and Robert Gondek; two brothers; and a sister.
"R.H." was a member of Antioch PCA Church, and was retired from Tri-County EMC after 28 years of service.
A service to celebrate the life of "R.H." will be held Thursday at 6 p.m. at Shumate-Faulk Funeral Home chapel, with pastor Kelly Buffaloe and pastor Percy Coleman officiating.
Family members will remain at the funeral home to visit with friends following the service, and at other times will be at the home.
Mr. Fail is survived by his wife, Edith M. P. Fail; his children, Sue Ellen Haaversen and husband, Skip, Randy Patterson and his wife, Sheila, Denise Stancill and husband, Terry, Kathy Gondek, Sara Mullens and husband, James, and Hope Wolske and fiancé, Jerry; his grandchildren, Dr. Tri Myers and wife, Dr. Rachel, Brent Stancill, Brandi Hillburn, Tabitha Parkinson and husband, Riley, U.S. Army Specialist Bradly Mullens, Alan Pennington, Macy Gondek, Tyler Gray, Storm Gray and Matthew Gray; his great-grandchildren, Haylie Stancill, Joshua Gondek, Easton Parkinson and Eric Gondek; a brother, Clyde Fail; and the mother of his children, Shirley Dudley.
