MACK SEANE HENSLEY GRAY

Mack Seane Hensley Gray, 79, went to be with her Lord Tuesday, Nov. 5, 2013, at Kitty Askins Hospice Center surrounded by her family.

Mack Seane was born in Cherokee, N.C., Feb. 10, 1934, to the late Dallas and Bessie Hipshire Hensley.

Mack Seane had worked in the PT-Lab at Dupont for many years, and was a member of Goldsboro Worship Center.

She was a beautiful person whose loving spirit and ever present smile radiated the joy she experienced in living every day of her life.

Mack Seane was deeply devoted to her family, and was happiest when she was spending time with her family, friends and K-9 friends. She was a wonderful wife, mother and grandmother. Mack Seane will always be loved by her children, and will be greatly missed by those who knew her.

The family will receive friends Thursday, Nov. 7, 2013, from 1 to 2 p.m. at Seymour Funeral Home, followed by a service celebrating Mack Seane's life at 2 p.m. in the chapel, with pastor Joseph Leonard officiating. Burial will follow in Gray Family Cemetery.

Mack Seane is survived by her daughters, Trudy Coker and companion, Steve Murphy, of Goldsboro and Donna Perry and husband, Martin, of LaGrange; her grandchildren, Christopher Coker and wife, Shirley, of Zebulon, Tracy Bedford and companion, Rainer LeFebvre, of Durham, Jamie Capps and wife, Trisha, of Goldsboro, Jay Capps of LaGrange and Adam Perry of Wendell; seven great-grandchildren; and her brother, Joe Dallas Hensley of Goldsboro.

She is also survived by her husband, Stan Southerland of Newport; his children, Stan Southerland Jr. and wife, Susan, of Newport, Sherry Southerland and husband, Ben, of Tallahasee, Fla., Ricky Southerland and wife, Julie, of Crawfordville, Fla., and Greg Southerland and wife, Chantra, of Houston, Texas; and 10 stepgrandchildren.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Noah William Gray; her son-in-law, Jerry Coker; and her sisters, Vonzella Daniels and Elexie Nelms.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Kitty Askins Hospice Center, 107 Handley Park Court, Goldsboro, N.C., 27534.
