Shirley Ann Herron, 72, passed away Sunday afternoon at her residence surrounded by her family.
She was the daughter of the late Howard and Frances B. Page, and widow of the late Gerald Clarence Herron.
A funeral service will be held Friday in the chapel of Shumate-Faulk Funeral Home, with pastor Robert Ferguson officiating. Committal services will follow at Wayne Memorial Park.
The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
Mrs. Herron is survived by two sons, Gerald H. and Michael Henry Herron of Goldsboro; four daughters, Wendy Herron, Colleen Leftdwrige and husband, Charles, Susan Britt and husband, Glenn, all of Goldsboro and Charlene Schleif and husband, Mark of Parma, Ohio; a sister-in-law, Pat Smmody of Cleveland, Ohio; nine grandchildren; and many adopted children.
