MOUNT OLIVE -- June Chestnutt Strickland, 71, died Wednesday, Oct. 9, 2013.
A memorial service will be Friday, Oct. 11, 2013, at 6 p.m. at Brownings United Methodist Church, with the Rev. Glenn McCullen and the Rev. Leland Heath officiating.
She is survived by her husband, Garrett S. Strickland of Mount Olive; son, Reggie Strickland and wife, Laura, of Mount Olive; grandchildren, Lauren, Savannah, Will and Grayson Strickland; sister, Diane Smith and husband, Albert, of Middlesex; and sister-in-law, Miriam C. Strickland of Raleigh.
She was preceded in death by her son, George Strickland; parents, W.H. and Althea Chestnutt; and sister, Debbie Tadlock.
The family will receive friends after the memorial service, and at other times at the home of Reggie and Laura Strickland, 1642 Country Club Road, Mount Olive, N.C., 28365.
