SEVEN SPRINGS -- Ola Mae Moye Adams, 86, Seven Springs, passed away Saturday, Sept. 21, 2013.
Ola Mae was born Oct. 22, 1926, in Wayne County to the late Walter Street Moye and Margaret Holmes Moye.
Her husband of 66 years, Rodolph Adams, preceded her in death Aug. 3, 2009.
She was also preceded in death by a daughter-in-law, Pamela Jo Adams; grandson, Joshuriah Adams; brother, Paul Ray Moye; and a sister, Ovileen Moye Alexander.
A farmer and a merchant, Ola Mae was a fixture in downtown Seven Springs, where she operated the Seven Springs Restaurant for many years. She enjoyed providing a good meal and a gathering spot for the community, and cherished the many friendships she made at the restaurant.
A service of remembrance will be held Tuesday, Sept. 24, 2013, at 11 a.m. at Rouse Funeral Home. Interment will be at Pineview Cemetery.
Ola Mae is survived by two sons, Edward Patrick "Eddy" Adams and Billy Albert Adams; daughter-in-law, Gaye Adams; four grandchildren, Patrick Adams and wife, April, Sierra Adams, Jordan Adams and Chelsee Adams; great-grandchild, Ashton Adams; special family friend, Ann Mercer; and two sisters, Mildred Pate and Rachel Singleton.
The family will receive friends Tuesday beginning an hour before the service.
