POOLER, Ga. -- Services for Mrs. Angela Denise Dowell Goolsby are at noon Thursday, Sept. 26, 2013, at Hunter Army Airfield Chapel, 368 Haley Ave., No. 145, in Savannah, Ga., 31409, 912-315-5440/5515.

Family visitation will be from 11 a.m. until the hour of service.

A family visitation hour will also be held Tuesday, Sept. 24, 2013, at 6 p.m. in the chapel of Hutchings Funeral Home, 536 New St., Macon, Ga., 31201.

Born in Nashville, Tenn., she was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Jimmy (Geraldine) Dowell.

A graduate of Hampton University and a United States Army veteran, Capt. Goolsby courageously served her country for 13 years.

Survivors include her husband, Adrian Eugene Goolsby; daughters, Anastacia and Annika Goolsby, all of Pooler; parents, Jimmy and Geraldine Dowell of Goldsboro, N.C.; sister Sharon (Craig) Williams; nieces, Kayla and Cydney Williams of Goldsboro, N.C.; grandmother, Mrs. Clyde Dowell of Elkin, N.C.; in-laws, Mr. and Mrs. Walter and Louise Goolsby; brother-in-law, Cedric Goolsby; nieces, Ashley and Amber Goolsby; nephew, Aaron Goolsby, all of Gray, Ga.; and a host of aunts, uncles and many other relatives and friends.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the American Cancer Society or the Salvation Army Community Center of Savannah, Ga.
