David L. Wingard, 45, formerly of Pikeville, passed away Monday, Sept. 2, 2013, at C.M. Tucker Nursing Care Center in Columbia, S.C.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, Sept. 7, 2013, at 2 p.m. from the chapel of Howell Funeral Home and Crematory in Goldsboro. Pastor Dwaine Willard will officiate.
The family will receive friends prior to the service from 1 to 1:45 p.m.
Interment will follow at Pikeville Cemetery.
David was born in Columbia, S.C., June 5, 1968, to Archie Clinton Wingard Jr. of South Carolina and the late Gloria Jean Polson Wingard.
In addition to his father, David is survived by two sons, Christopher Wingard and David Kyle Wingard of the home, and their mother, Tammy Wingard; a sister, Rhonda Lucas and husband, Curtis, of South Carolina; his father and mother-in-law, Ray and Linda Beasley of Pikeville; and several nieces and nephews.
David was preceded in death by a brother, Duane Wingard.
The family is being served by Howell Funeral Home and Crematory in Goldsboro.
