Roger Allen Lancaster, 58, passed away on Wednesday, June 19, 2013, at his home.
Roger was born in Pensacola, Fla., on July 19, 1954, to the late James Warren Lancaster and Geraldine Henry Lancaster.
He moved to Goldsboro in 1959, and graduated from Goldsboro High School in 1972.
Scouting played an important part of his life; Roger was involved in the Tuscarora Council of the Boy Scouts of America in Goldsboro.
Family and friends will gather for a time of remembrance on Sunday, June 23, 2013, from 1 to 3 p.m. at Seymour Funeral Home.
A private burial will be held for the family at a later date.
Roger is survived by his daughter, Erin Pate and husband, Chad, of North Wilkesboro; sister, Janet Davis and husband, Vance, of High Point; nephew, Jay Williford; and close friends, Bill and Jan Moon and Susan Williams, of Goldsboro.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given in his memory to Boy Scouts of America, 316 E. Walnut St., Goldsboro, N.C., 27530.
