SEVEN SPRINGS -- Marlow Kornegay Sr., 73, Camp Jubilee Road, died Sunday afternoon, Jan. 20, 2013, at Wayne Memorial Hospital.
Funeral services will be held at 7 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 22, at Tyndall Funeral Home, officiated by the Rev. Geoffrey A. Carter, and followed by visitation. Burial will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 23, at Pineview Cemetery.
Mr. Kornegay, son of the late Lamont and Patty Jones Kornegay, was a retired truck driver.
He is survived by his wife, Rosliane Casteen Pate Kornegay; a daughter, Sandra L. Sutton and husband, Victor, of Faison; two sons, Marlow Kornegay Jr. and Robert Douglas Kornegay both of Seven Springs; a stepson, Donnie Pate and wife, Elsie, of Warsaw; two stepdaughters, Clara Smith and fiancé, Brandon Potter, of Kenansville and Pamela Pate of Four Oaks; grandchildren, Randy Kornegay and wife, Jessica, Adam Williams, Andrea Fisher and husband, Michael, Gary Pate, Travis Sutton, Samantha Sutton, Russell D. Kornegay and Heather and Christian Woodcock; and great-grandchildren, Rusty, Rylan and Emmie Kornegay, Kayle Sadburry and Alexis Fisher.
A grandson, Ryan D. Kornegay, preceded him in death.
