Jeffie Best Evans Rains, 86, formerly of Goldsboro, died Monday at Wilson Medical Center.
A private service will be held.
She was born in Wayne County Feb. 5, 1926, to the late Thomas Aaron and Madie West Best. She was married to the late Johnny C. Evans and the late John H. Rains.
She is survived by two sons and a daughter.
Arrangements are by Howell Funeral Home and Crematory.
