Van Allen Moses Sr. passed away Sunday, Dec. 30, at Willow Creek Nursing Rehabilitation Center in Goldsboro.
He was born Feb. 3, 1941, to the late James N. Moses and Athenia I. Moses.
He is survived by his wife, Shirley K. Moses; five children, Vernitta Yvette Hobson, Debra Renee' Moses, Van Allen Moses Jr., Reginald Devon Moses and Tonya Denise Wooten; a sister, Patricia Ann Moses; a sister-in-law, Annie Ruth Gerald; 16 grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren
Funeral services were Monday, Jan. 7, 2013, at 11 a.m. at Greenleaf Christian Church, 2110 N. Wilson Highway in Goldsboro. Interment was at Old Mill Cemetery in Goldsboro.
The family will receive friends at 421 Odell St. in Goldsboro.
The family of Mr. Moses is receiving prestigious service from the president and staff of E.M. Matthews Funeral Home and Cremation Inc.
