Virginia Whitehurst Davis, 83, of Fremont, died Monday, Dec. 24, 2012.
Funeral will be Friday at 11 a.m., Fremont United Methodist Church followed by visitation. Interment will be in Elmwood Cemetery.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Russell Lee Davis and was a retired elementary school teacher with 32 years of service. She was a member of the N.C. Beta Lambda Chapter of Delta Kappa Gamma, and a member of the Northern Lights Extension Club. She was a faithful member of Fremont United Methodist Church and the United Methodist Women.
She is survived by her sons, Russell Davis and wife, Cynthia, of Choco-winity and Bill Davis of Faro; grandchildren, Russell Davis III, Sharan Davis, Ashley Davis and Amber Terrell; great-grandsons, Nate Davis and Kane Terrell.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to Fremont United Methodist Church, PO Box 147, Fremont NC 27830.
