MARY FRANCES BARTLETT

Mary Frances Herring Bartlett died Thursday.

Funeral service will be today at 3 p.m. at Mount Carmel United Methodist Church, 610 Mount Carmel Church Road, Pikeville. The Rev. David Hollowell and the Rev. Dan Pate will officiate. Committal will be at Evergreen Memorial Cemetery, U.S. 70 West, Goldsboro.

There will be a time of sharing with the family in the fellowship hall from 2 until 3 p.m. today.

Surviving are her husband of 54 years, Gerald Bartlett; a son, Larry Bartlett of Pikeville; a daughter, Nadine Bartlett Butts (John) of Goldsboro; brothers, Billy Gene Herring (Phyllis) of Wilson and George Edward Herring (Carolyn) of Swansboro; four grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

A native of the Mount Carmel Community of Wayne County, she was preceded in death by her parents, Sudie Katherine Herring and George Benton Herring. Mrs. Bartlett was a licensed practical nurse for the Seymour Johnson Air Force Base Hospital.
