CAROLYN DAVIS MOORING

Feb. 10, 1941-Nov. 2, 2012

Carolyn Davis Mooring, 71, after a long and courageous battle, passed peacefully into that far better life with her Lord and Savior and with those beloved family who went on before.

Graveside services will be held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 6, 2012, at the Mooring Family Cemetery, located at 4337 Hwy. 13 North. The Rev. Ira Williford will officiate. Friends may call on the family at Carolyn's home, and they will also greet friends following the service at the cemetery.

Her courage during this fight was typical of her strength of character, reflecting her loyalty and dedication to and deep love for her family and love of life.

Carolyn is survived by her children, Kelvin Mooring of Goldsboro, Sherry Lindsey and husband, Gary, of Florida, Deana Harper and husband, Thomas, of Goldsboro and Kristi Tillman and husband, Michael, of Goldsboro; her brother, Shelton Davis and wife, Ann, of Goldsboro; eight grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Carl and Edna Smith Davis.

The family would like to extend a special thanks to the many caregivers who cared for Carolyn allowing her the opportunity to stay at the home she loved so dearly.
