ELMER "PA" FRANKLIN EASON

PRINCETON -- Elmer "Pa" Franklin Eason, 79, 114 S. Holt's Pond Road, Princeton, died Tuesday morning, Oct. 23, at Smithfield Manor.

He was born in Johnston County April 25, 1933, and was the son of the late Addie F. Eason and Rena Odom Eason Price. Mr. Eason was the widower of Dorothy Allen Eason, and he was also preceded in death by a brother, Harvey Eason.

Mr. Eason served his country in the Army, and was a member of the American Legion and a member of Princeton Baptist Church.

The funeral service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Thursday afternoon in the chapel of Casey Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Princeton Cemetery.

He is survived by two daughters and sons-in-law, Pam Wellons and husband, Sidney, of Princeton and Regina Hatcher and husband, Joey, of Smithfield; grandchildren, Natalie and William Braxton, Nicole and Chris Ogus and Joseph Hatcher; and a great-grandson, Liam Braxton.

The family will be receiving friends beginning at 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 24, at Casey Funeral Home, and at other times at the home of Regina and Joey Hatcher, 3169 Stevens Chapel Church Road, Smithfield.
