WILLIAM KEITH GINN

March 27, 1961-Oct. 5, 2012

BETHEL, Ohio -- William Keith Ginn, 51, a native of Snow Hill, died Friday, Oct. 5, 2012, at his home in Bethel, Ohio, surrounded by his family.

Keith was born March 27, 1961, the eldest son of Kenneth Earl "K.G." and Iris Mooring Ginn.

He graduated from Greene Central High School in 1979, where he had already made his mark as a valued musician, not only as a member of the Ramblers and Greene Central Marching Band, but was the only Greene Central alumni to march in a drum and bugle corps (the Bridgemen), taking them all the way to the DCI World Championship.

Keith had an amazing musical prowess as an extremely gifted musician, songwriter, singer and performer. He possessed an innate ability to play many instruments with ease, and could perform a musical selection after having heard it only once.

As a performer, he was able to intrigue and captivate an audience with his unparalleled stage presence. His heart, humor and passion will be missed by all, as well as his ability to bring humor to any situation.

Funeral services will be held 7 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 9, at LCC Auditorium, Greene County Center, 602 W. Harper St., Snow Hill, where Keith last performed. Graveside committal services will be held 10 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 10, at Snow Hill Cemetery.

Keith is survived by his parents, Kenneth E. "K.G." Ginn of Kinston and Iris Mooring Ginn of Snow Hill; fianceé, Maggie Jones of Bethel, Ohio; his three children of which he was most proud, Margaret Rochelle Ginn of Florida, Kenneth David Ginn of New York and Brian Keith Ginn of Morehead City; his brothers, who were more friends than siblings, Alan Ginn of Snow Hill and Joel Ginn of New York; and a special uncle, Stanley Ginn of Goldsboro.

The family will receive friends Tuesday immediately following the service, and other times at the home or Iris M. Ginn, 213 Eastover Drive, Snow Hill.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to G.C. Music Alumni, Keith Ginn Memorial, 117 Heritage Crossing, Snow Hill, N.C., 28580.
