MAUREEN WIGGANS

Maureen Wiggans, 65, passed away early Saturday morning at Wayne Memorial Hospital.

The family will gather Saturday, Oct., 6, 2012, at 2 p.m. at the home of her son, Mike Breeden to Celebrate Maureen's life.

Born in Brooklyn, N.Y., she was the daughter of the late Lester Reid and Patricia Gordon. Maureen was known for her skills as a seamstress and her pride of her Irish heritage. She enjoyed gardening and raised many children, opening her home to everyone.

She is survived by her two sons, Mike Breeden and wife, Julie, of Goldsboro, and Ryan Jack Wiggans of Goldsboro; three daughters, Kelly Ann York and husband, Justin, of Wilmington, Patricia Kathleen Breeden of Goldsboro, and Tiffany Jean Wiggans of Clinton; two brothers, Martin Matyjasik and wife, Tracy, of Pikeville, and Joseph Matyjasik and wife, Phyllis, of Goldsboro; two sisters, Margaret Hoefar and husband, James, of Princeton, and Barbara Spicer and husband, Randy, of South Dakota; and her five grandchildren, Mack, Emma, Alex, Alyssa, and Calen.

In addition to her parents, Maureen was preceded in death by one brother, Robert Matyjasik.
