ELEANOR GRANT BROGDEN

Eleanor Grant Brogden, 76, died Wednesday evening at her home.

Born in Greene County, she was the daughter of the late Tommy and Annie Bruce Grant, and the wife of the late Ed Brogden Jr.

She was preceded in death by a brother, Thomas Earl Grant.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 3 p.m. in the chapel of Shumate-Faulk Funeral Home, with the Rev. Bill Rose officiating. Burial will follow in Wayne Memorial Park.

The family will visit with friends Tuesday evening from 7 to 9 p.m. at Shumate-Faulk Funeral Home.

Eleanor is survived by a son, Thurman E. Brogden of Goldsboro, and three daughters and two sons-in-law, Gail B. Edwards, Dianne B. Brock and husband, Mike, and Tricia Hansen and husband, Paul, all of Goldsboro.

She is also survived by a brother-in-law and wife, Linda and Billy Holland of Goldsboro; a brother-in-law, John Henry Brogden and wife, Emma, of Goldsboro; and a sister-in-law, Thelma Daniels of Dudley.

Special were her grandchildren, Kelly Edwards, Kendall Edwards, Taylor Brock, Emily Brock, Adam Brogden and Jeremy Brogden, and three great-grandchildren Austin, Ethan, and Dylan.
