EDNA "BECKY" HOOD FLOWERS
Died Aug. 7, 2012
Edna "Becky" Hood Flowers, 86, went to be with her heavenly father Tuesday, Aug. 7, 2012, at Kitty Askins Hospice Center of Goldsboro.
She was a wonderful Christian, full of spirit, grace and style.
Born in Grantham to Robert and Louise Hood, she attended Grantham High School, and then married her friend, Carlyle Flowers.
Becky is survived by her son and caregiver, Richard Flowers and fiancée, Winnie Denning, of Newton Grove; three grandchildren, Scott, Brian and Stacie; and three great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Carlyle; son, Donald; sisters, Ruth Hardy, Helen Ray Rose; and brothers, Marvin and Harold Hood.
A memorial service will be held Thursday, Aug. 9, at 1 p.m. at West and Dunn Funeral Home, officiated by T.J. Byrd. Interment will be held at 3 p.m. at Lafayette Memorial Park in Fayetteville.
The family will receive friends and family at the funeral home one hour prior to the service and other times at the home of Guy Denning, 1968 Mount Olive Highway, Newton Grove.
The family would like to thank the staff of Kitty Askins Hospice Center of Goldsboro for the wonderful care it gave to Becky and to her family and friends for all you have done during her time of sickness.
