NEW BERN -- Jane Kennedy Kroeger, 81, New Bern, died Aug. 4, 2012, at Carolina East Medical Center.
After high school, Jane attended Mount Holyoke College in South Hadley, Mass.
She had been active in her Episcopal church in Briarcliff Manor, N.Y., for many years, where she served as a Sunday school teacher and then later in her Bible study in Goldsboro.
Jane is survived by her husband, Richard Brown "Buzz" Kroeger; two sons, Dr. Richard James "Jamie" Kroeger and wife, Michele, of New Bern and Michael John Kroeger and wife, Judy, of Madison, N.J.; a daughter, Ann Kroeger Smiley and husband, Lee, of Apex; a sister, Frances Finch of Boardman, Ohio; and seven grandchildren, Kevin "Kip" Kroeger, Alison Page, Leslie Kroeger, Lauren Kroeger, Gregory Kroeger, Cindy Kroeger and Richard Smiley.
She was preceded in death by her daughter, Cynthia Jane Kroeger.
