Marion P. Strong, 72, 1404 S. Slocumb St., Goldsboro, passed Sunday at Wayne Memorial Hospital.
Her life will be celebrated Saturday at 1 p.m. at St. Mark Church of Christ, 700 W. Ash St., with bishop Alton A. Smith officiating. Her mortal remains will be laid to rest in Elmwood Cemetery.
She is survived by her children, Tabitha S. Strong of Charlotte and Gregory L. Strong of Derby, Conn.; grandson, Lamar O. Kornegay of Dallas, Ga.; and a host of other loving relatives and friends.
Visitation will be Friday from 2 to 6 p.m. at Haskins Funeral Home, 601 E. Ash St.
The family will receive friends at the residence, where it will also assemble in preparation for the funeral procession.
