RUBY COLLIER WADDELL
March 4, 1933-April 1, 2012
KENLY -- Ruby Bedford Collier Waddell, 79, passed away Sunday, April 1, 2012, at Rex Hospital in Raleigh.
Ruby was born in Johnston County March 4, 1933, to the late Johnnie Bedford and Lomie Woodard Bedford. She was the devoted wife of the late James Ralph Collier and Lester Leon Waddell.
Ruby was a member of Piney Grove Original Free Will Baptist Church. She was a very strong believer in Jesus Christ, and felt that nothing was impossible when you place your trust in God. Her faith gave her the courage to face anything in life.
Ruby was a lady of many talents from being a caring, loving wife, parent and grandparent to being passionate about cooking, especially her peanut brittle.
Most important to Ruby was her family. Ruby worked hard to make sure her husband, children and grandchildren were well taken care of. She always enjoyed going to McDonald's for breakfast, but Ruby especially enjoyed the opportunity to socialize with her many friends.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, April 4, 2012, at 11 a.m. in the chapel of Seymour Funeral Home, with pastor Wayne Hargrove officiating. Burial will follow in Evergreen Memorial Cemetery.
Ruby is survived by her daughter, Janet Bridgers and husband, Freddie, of Kenly; her son, Dennis Collier and wife, Cindy, of Selma; her stepchildren, Mickey Waddell and wife, Carolyn, of Kenly and Debbie Edgerton and husband, Pat, of Pikeville; her grandchildren, Jason Bridgers, Adam Bridgers and wife, Katie, and April Collier; her stepgrandchildren, Gary Waddell and wife, Michelle, Shannon Ammons and Steve Bland, Angie W. Sullivan, Billy Bridgers and wife, Amy, Emily Lennon and husband, Andy, and Kyle Bass; and her stepgreat-grandchildren, Cody Sullivan, Summer Sullivan, Colton Davis, Carson Waddell, Craig Ammons, Colton Bridgers and Faith Bridgers.

Bedford of Kenly, James Bedford of Goldsboro and Gerald Bedford of Pikeville; her lifelong friend, Hazel Pittman Rowe; and her loyal companion, Lady.
