SANFORD -- Mrs. Evelyn Reaves Sutton, 90, Sanford, died early morning March 28, 2012, in Parkview Rest and Retirement.
The family will receive friends Friday morning from 10 to 11 a.m. at Jernigan Warren Funeral Home in Fayetteville.
Funeral services will follow at 11 a.m. in Jernigan Warren Chapel. A private family entombment will take place later that day in Goldsboro.
Mrs. Sutton was preceded in death by her husband, James Ira Sutton Sr.
She is survived by her two sons, the Rev. James Ira Sutton Jr. and wife, Mary Lynn, of Sanford and Norman Gray Sutton and wife, Susan, of Fayetteville; three grandchildren, Todd Sutton and wife, Abby, of Greensboro, Amy Sutton of Sanford and Samantha Sutton of Fayetteville; two great-grandchildren, Lola and Jett Sutton of Greensboro; and three sisters, Edna Merritt of Warsaw, Alice Faulk of Mount Olive and Jean Rogers of Mount Olive.
The family asks that memorials be made to Cool Springs Baptist Church Building Fund, 1313 Cool Springs Road, Sanford, N.C., 27330.
