PIKEVILLE -- Peggy "Nana" Bailey Langston, 57, passed away Sunday, March 18, 2012, at Wilson Medical Center.

Peggy was born in Wayne County Jan. 30, 1955, to Rhoda Parnell Bailey and the late Clifton Bailey.

The life she lived was one of incredible faith in God, and it could not be diminished by the sickness that she endured. Her sweet smile and gentle ways will be remembered by everyone that knew her.

Graveside services will be held Wednesday, March 21, 2012, at 11 a.m. in Evergreen Memorial Cemetery, with the Rev. Bill Cotton officiating.

Peggy is survived by her husband, Sammy Langston; her daughter, Toni Wallace of Shallotte; her sons, Buster Langston and wife, Jeannie, of Pikeville and Toby Langston and wife, Melissa, of Pikeville; her grandchildren, Zackary Langston, Brittany and Tyler Sherbert, J.C. and Rebecca Langston and Dillon and Cara Thomas.

She is also survived by her sisters, Paulette Kornegay and husband, Garry, of Seven Springs and Edith Ross and husband, Alfred, of Pikeville; her brother, Jesse Bailey and wife, Barbara, of Pikeville; her sister-in-law, Teresa Bailey of Pikeville; and several nieces and nephews.

Peggy also leaves her beloved pet, Scooter.

In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by her brother, Charles Bailey.

The family will receive friends Tuesday, March 20, 2012, from 7 to 9 p.m. at Seymour Funeral Home, and other times at the residence.
