DAVID T. CARAWAN

Sept. 24, 1956-March 15, 2012

David Thomas Carawan, 55, passed away on Thursday, March 15, 2012, surrounded by his family at Wayne Memorial Hospital.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, March 19, 2012, at 7 p.m. at The Bridge Princeton Campus with pastor Jeremy White, pastor Ferrell Hardison and pastor Andy Stovall officiating. Interment will be held on Tuesday, March 20, 2012, at 11 a.m. in New Hope Friends Cemetery.

David was born in Lenoir County on Sept. 24, 1956, to the late Lloyd Thomas and Nannie Lou Dawson. He was a member of The Bridge, where he served in many capacities including Encounter Student Ministries, the Worship Band and was one of the founders of The Bridge Goldsboro Campus.

David is survived by his wife, Mincie Hinnant Carawan; his son, Matthew Carawan and fiancée, Brittaney White, of Greenville and his daughter, Jeannette Massingale and husband, Enoch, of Goldsboro. He is also survived by his sister, Donna Carawan of Kinston and his Encounter Student Ministry family.

The family will receive friends following the service at The Bridge Princeton Campus and other times at the home.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Giving Life Fund, C/O The Bridge at 188 Whitley Church Road, Princeton, NC 27569.
