Columbia Ann Kornegay, 78, died Thursday at SECU Hospice House of Smithfield.
A graveside service will be held Tuesday at 11:30 a.m. at Evergreen Cemetery with Dr. Dewayne Eakes officiating. Family members will greet friends at the cemetery immediately following the graveside service. Mrs. Kornegay will lie in state at Shumate-Faulk Funeral Home Monday from 8:30 until 5:30.
Born in Duplin County, she was the daughter of the late Willie Flave Mercer and Beulah Stancil Mercer, and wife of the late Eldon Lee Kornegay Sr.
She is survived by three children.
Shumate-Faulk Funeral Home is serving the Kornegay family.
