Cleopatra Wooten Warren was born to Elbert and Janie Wooten March 22, 1947, in LaGrange of the Best Station community. Cleo was called to rest Feb. 11, 2012, in Decatur, Ga.
She was a longtime resident of Decatur, Ga.
Cleo leaves to cherish her loving memories two daughters, Andrea D. Winfrey of Decatur, Ga., and DeLoris Graham of Ellenwood, Ga.; a son, Gary Warren (Katrina) of Conyers, Ga.; four grandchildren, Alexis Winfrey of Decatur, Ga., Aliyah Winfrey of Decatur, Ga., La Vonia Davis of Ellenwood, Ga., and Quintin Davis of Pembroke; two great-grandchildren, Jordan Davis of Ellenwood, Ga., and Jayden Davis of Ellenwood, Ga.; five sisters, Lillie Coley (Alvin) of Fayetteville, Essie "Marge" Wooten of LaGrange, Hilda Farmer (William) of Goldsboro and Angeline Hamilton and Bunnie Wooten both of Goldsboro; three brothers, Elbert Lee Wooten Jr. and Johnny T. Wooten (Bessie) both of Goldsboro and Bobby R. Wooten (Cheryl) of Covington, Tenn.; a sister-in-law, Beatte Wooten of Goldsboro; six aunts, Dora Parks, Delores Summers (Lindberg) of LaGrange, Minnie Bell, Ella Jackson, Barbara Best and Minnie Lewis all of Goldsboro; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
A visitation will be held Friday, Feb. 17, 2012, from 6 to 8 p.m. at E.M. Matthews Funeral Home, 401 N. William St., Goldsboro.
A celebration of life will be held Saturday, Feb. 18, 2012, at 11 a.m. at Bear Creek Headquarters Association building, 1800 S. Slocumb St., Goldsboro.
Following the services in the sanctuary, Ms. Warren's delicate temple, along with her adored family, will be escorted to Old Mill Cemetery for interment rites.
Ms. Warren's earthen vessel is peacefully resting at E.M. Matthews Funeral Home, where the Warren and connected families are receiving prestigious service.
