JAMES E. HOWELL

LAGRANGE -- James Edward "Jimmy" Howell, 69, LaGrange, passed away Saturday, Jan. 14, 2012.
Jimmy was born April 25, 1942, in Wayne County to the late James Lyon Howell and Ruby Garris Ward.
Jimmy was a member of Walnut Creek Free Will Baptist Church, and was a retired truck driver with Southeastern Freight.
Jimmy enjoyed George Jones' music and traveling to the beach and mountains.
A service of remembrance will be held Monday, Jan. 16, 2012, at 7 p.m. at Rouse Funeral Home, with the Rev. Tony McLamb officiating. Interment will be Tuesday at 2 p.m. at Fairview Cemetery.
Mr. Howell is survived by his wife, Linda Grady Howell; daughter, Michelle Lynn Hubbard and husband, Devin, of Boone; two grandchildren, Cassidy Hubbard and Catlin Hubbard; and a sister, Gloria Walker of Goldsboro.
The family will
receive friends Monday following the service of remembrance.
