NAINNIE MCNEAL WILLIAMS

Mrs. Nainnie McNeal Williams, 81, 608 Popular St., Goldsboro, departed this earthly life, guided by the loving hand of her savior Jesus Christ, Wednesday, Dec. 21, 2011, at the University of North Carolina Memorial Hospital in Chapel Hill.
Homegoing services will be held Wednesday, Dec. 28, 2011, at 11 a.m. at Mount Calvary Missionary Baptist Church, 318 Denmark St., Goldsboro, with the Rev. Harold Warren, Bear Creek moderator and family friend, officiating. The Rev. Winfred Galmon Jr. pastor of Mount Calvary Missionary Baptist Church, will preside over the service.
Public viewing will be held from 10 to 10:55 a.m. at Mount Calvary, with the homecoming service at 11 a.m.
A memorial service will be held Thursday, Dec. 29, 2011, at Mary's Chapel Baptist Church in Scotland Neck at 11 a.m. Interment will follow at Mary's Chapel Cemetery in Scotland Neck.
Mrs. Williams was preceded in death by her husband of 54 years, the Rev. Spencer Williams Jr.; her parents, Pompie and Mabel McNeal; and four brothers; James D. McNeal, Ernest McNeal, Eddie McNeal and Langston McNeal.
Cherishing memories of their mother's gentle Christian example in the home are three children, Lori (Phill) Grant, of Goldsboro, Spencer Eldridge Williams III of Atlanta, Ga., and Joseph Anthony (Fonda) Williams of Kernersville; four brothers, Collin (Brenda) McNeal, Herbert (Frances) McNea, Curtis (Lula) McNeal and Ray McNeal; 10 grandchildren; Rachel McNeal, a special niece whom she reared many years; a special cousin, Joan Green Lucas; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
