FLORENCE L. GARNER

DUDLEY -- Florence Lively Garner, 80, passed away Thursday afternoon at Kitty Askins Hospice Center.

A funeral service will be held Monday at 2 p.m. at Shumate-Faulk Funeral Home chapel with the Rev. Jeff Daughtry and Mr. Kelvin Coates officiating. Committal will follow at Wayne Memorial Park.

The family will receive friends this evening from 7 until 9 p.m. at Shumate-Faulk Funeral Home.

She was the daughter of the late John L. and Susan L. Lively and the wife of Joseph Garner.

Mrs. Garner was a homemaker and a member of May's Chapel Free Will Baptist Church.

In addition to her husband, Mrs. Garner is survived by a son, Tony E. Garner of Goldsboro; two brothers, John and James Lively both of Biloxi, Miss.; a sister, Jane Glavan of Biloxi, Miss.; two grandchildren, Stacy Lane and Travis Garner both of Goldsboro; and a great-grandchild, Nolan K. Lane.

She was preceded in death by a son, Joseph E. Garner, and two sisters, Joan Tapper and Mary Hedgecoth.
