CARRIE P. CARRAWAY

Carrie Pike Carraway, 82, passed away Tuesday, Nov. 22, 2011, at the Brian Center.
Carrie was born in Edgecombe County March 17, 1929, to the late Leslie Moye and Esther Baldree Moye.
She worked for many years as a sewing supervisor at Lori Manufacturing.
Carrie was a member of Pineview Baptist Church. She was a godly woman who loved the Lord and her family, and set an example for her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren that will lead them all their lives.
Funeral services will be held Friday, Nov. 25, 2011, at 2 p.m. in the chapel of Seymour Funeral Home, with the Rev. Jim Turbyfill officiating.
The family will receive friends immediately following the service at Seymour Funeral Home, and other times at the home of Maxine and Danny Godwin, 200 Little River Drive, Goldsboro.
Carrie is survived by her daughters, Carolyn Thomas and husband, Don, and Maxine Godwin and husband, Danny, of Goldsboro; her sons, Homer Pike Jr. and wife, Carmen, of Rocky Mount and Leslie Allan Pike and wife, Susan, of Goldsboro; 10 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and several stepgrandchildren.
She is also survived by her stepdaughters, Betty Wells and husband, Jimmy, of Goldsboro and Jo Gurley and husband, Greg, of Goldsboro; her brothers, Carl Moye of Stantonsburg, Rollin Moye of Goldsboro and Ray Moye of Wilson; and her sisters, Kathleen Rowe of Stantonsburg, Peggy Flowers of Four Oaks and Lucille Batten of Goldsboro.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husbands, Homer C. Pike Sr. and Ralph S. Carraway; her brothers, Linwood Moye, Harvey Lee Moye and Leslie Moye; and her sister, Edna Mooring.
