Donald Robert Deaver, 45, passed away Sunday, Nov. 20, 2011, at Wayne Memorial Hospital.
Donald was born in Wayne County July 13, 1966, to Durwood Ray Deaver Sr. and Brenda Lawhorn Russell.
He was a lead lineman for Tri County Electric Corp.
Donald was a member of the National Rifle Association, Little River Kennels and the Original Mountain Cur Breeders Association.
The family will receive friends Wednesday, Nov. 23, 2011, from 6 to 7 p.m. at Seymour Funeral Home, followed by a memorial service in the chapel at 7 p.m., with the Rev. Dennis Pollock officiating.
In addition to his parents, Donald is survived by his wife, Janet Parker Deaver; his children, Jessica Rose Deaver and Donald Deaver Jr. all of Mount Olive; his brothers, Durwood Ray "D.R." Deaver Jr. and wife, Kim, of Selma, David Randall Deaver and wife, Kimberly Ann, of Goldsboro and Danny Richard Deaver of Princeton; his stepmother, Diane Thompson Deaver; his stepfather, Ray Russell; his stepsister, Dawn Lanier of Cameron; stepbrother, Timothy Russell of Swansboro; his father and mother-in-law, William and Melda Parker of Princeton; several aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews; and many friends.
Donald was preceded in death by his daughter, Donna Rebecca Deaver; his paternal grandparents, Thurman and Margaret Deaver; and maternal grandparents, Charlie and Iris Lawhorn.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the charity of one's choice.
