EUNICE COKER GUY

MOUNT OLIVE -- Eunice Coker Guy, 79, went to be with her Lord and Savior while at home early Friday morning.

Funeral services will be held at Tyndall Funeral Home at 2 p.m. Sunday, with pastors Elbert and Juanita Hollowell officiating. Burial will follow in Maplewood Cemetery.

Mrs. Guy, a longtime member of Cricket Ridge Pentecostal Free Will Baptist Church, was a retired employee with Mt. Olive Pickle Co.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Donald "Skeeter" Guy; her parents, James and Hazel Holmes Coker; and brothers, Willie Coker, Buddy Coker and Judson Coker.

She leaves to cherish her memory her children, Doug Coker of Dudley, Carolyn Mitchell and husband, Ronnie, of Goldsboro and Betty Myers of Mount Olive; five grandchildren, Felicia Stafford of Mount Olive, Angie Coker of Dudley, Christy Crawford of Mount Olive, Dana Hendrix of Rosewood and Tonya Slegle of Raleigh; eight great-grandchildren; three sisters, Shirley Overton, Kay Swinson and Hazel Lorraine Creech all of Mount Olive; two brothers, Jerry Coker of Goldsboro and Kenneth Coker of Grantham; and many nieces and nephews.

Flowers are welcome, or memorial gifts may be made to Cricket Ridge Church.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6 to 8 p.m. Saturday, and at other times at Betty Myers' home at 908 B Country Club Road, Mount Olive.
