JOHNNY M. WATERS

RALEIGH -- Johnny M. Waters, 63, a faithful member of Highland Baptist Church and a retired employee of the North Carolina Department of Transportation, went home to be with Jesus Friday at his home while surrounded by his loving family.
A native of Wake County, he was a Vietnam Veteran, and the son of Maude Sasser Waters and the late Louis A. Waters.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Monday at Highland Baptist Church. Burial will follow at Montlawn Memorial Park with military honors.
Surviving, in addition to his mother, are his wife of 38 years, Susan Eagle Waters; daughter, Michelle Waters Parsons and husband, Gene, of Jefferson; a granddaughter, Annalise Hope Parsons; brothers, Jackie Waters and wife, Sandra, and Don Waters and wife, Sylvia all of Garner; and loving nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by a brother, Louis A. "Pal" Waters.
The family will receive friends from 3 to 5 p.m. Sunday at Bryan-Lee Funeral Home of Garner.
