William (Bill) Edgar Best, 52, passed away on Monday, Nov. 7, 2011 at Wayne Memorial Hospital.
Bill was born in Wayne County on Jan. 9, 1959 to Emmie Lee Whaley Best of Goldsboro and the late Edgar Lee Best.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, Nov. 11, 2011 at 7 p.m. in the chapel of Seymour Funeral Home with Rev. Fred Crank officiating. There will be a private interment.
Bill is survived by his wife, Jean Brandt Best of Goldsboro; his daughter, Kathryn "Katie" Best of Goldsboro; his sisters, Linda Carol Jackson and husband, Ernest of Dudley, Rebecca Diane Howell and husband, Wayne of Omaha, Neb., and Becky Lynn Best Gibbons and husband, Bill of Hickory, N.C.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the charity of one's choice.
The family will receive friends Friday following the service and other times the home of Linda and Ernest Jackson at 114 Hope Boulevard, Dudley.
