PRINCETON -- Mary "Tinnie" Stone Young, 62, passed away Monday, Oct. 24, 2011, at her home surrounded by her loving family.
Mary was born in Wayne County Dec. 26, 1948, to the late William Stone and Mattie Brown Stone.
Memorial services will be held Friday, Oct. 28, 2011, at 2 p.m. in the chapel of Seymour Funeral Home, with pastor Linda Burroughs officiating.
Mary is survived by her sons, Mike Singleton and wife, Tonja, of Goldsboro and Tony Singleton of Goldsboro; her sister, Deborah Williford of Seven Springs; her brothers, Charles Stone of the home and Travis Stone and wife, Danette, of Burghill, Ohio; her grandchildren, Hope Long and husband, Scott, of Goldsboro, Charity Singleton of Goldsboro and Joshua Singleton of Goldsboro; her two great-grandchildren, Adison Singleton and Bryleigh Long; and many special nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, James Mickey Singleton Jr.; her sisters, Ruby Holland and Essie Mae Stone; her brother, Richard Stone; and brother-in-law, Lathan Williford.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society at 930-B Wellness Drive, Greenville, N.C., 27834.
The family will receive friends at the home.
