SEVEN SPRINGS -- Cynthia Gail "Cindy" Daniluk Townsend, 55, Seven Springs, passed away Monday, Sept. 26, 2011.
Cindy was born July 20, 1956, in Onslow County to the late Raymond Daniluk and Shelby Jean Head Mitchell.
Cindy was a nurse with Southeastern Medical Oncology Center, and took great pride in her work. Cindy enjoyed horseback riding, cooking, gatherings with friends, reading, gardening, flowers, riding around on the golf cart and most of all, she enjoyed time spent with Nathan.
A graveside service of remembrance will be held Wednesday, Sept. 28, 2011, at 2 p.m. at Pineview Cemetery, with the Rev. Doug Johnson officiating.
Cindy is survived by her husband, Franklin Townsend; four children, Paige Dawson of Seven Springs, Elizabeth Dawson of Seven Springs, Stacey Leigh Townsend of Raleigh and Nathan Dawson of Seven Springs; granddaughter, Abigail Williams of Potters Hill; brother, Walter Scott Daniluk of Nevada; and a special friend, Janet Nickel.
In addition to her parents, Cindy was preceded in death by a brother, John Daniluk.
The family will receive friends Tuesday from 6 to 8 p.m. at Rouse Funeral Home, and at other times will be at the home.
