PIKEVILLE -- Norwood Worley "Knot" Reeves, 81, passed away Monday, Sept. 5, 2011, at Wayne Memorial Hospital.
Norwood was born in Wayne County Jan. 3, 1930, to the late Leamon Reeves and Mettie Reeves Wells.
He was a farmer in the Saulston community for many years.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, Sept. 7, 2011, at 7 p.m. in the chapel of Seymour Funeral Home, with the Rev. Donnie Kearney and the Rev. Carolyn Sims officiating. Interment will be Thursday at 11 a.m. in Eureka Cemetery.
Norwood is survived by his daughter, Linda Reeves Woodard; his beloved companion, Shirley Smith, and her family; two granddaughters, Regan Lee Hannant and husband, Steven, and Jade Woodard; two great-granddaughters, Karsyn Roberts and Ella Hannant; and a half-brother, Timothy Reeves.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Chester and Leamon Jr.; a sister, Mildred Kearney; and his beloved son, Dennis.
The family will receive friends Wednesday following the service at Seymour Funeral Home.
